![]() Suzerain Scepter Source Ultimate Equipment pg. invisibility and a few other annoyances, is the big ticket item.Armor | Artifacts | Cursed Items | Intelligent Items | Potions/Oils | Rings | Rods | Staves | Weapons | Wondrous Items | Other Handle Animal can also be super useful in early levels. Suggesting that your caster summon creatures susceptible to the rage song would provide a similar mechanic: bestowing a multiple-attack routine on an expanded group of characters. It might be worth taking some ranks in Handle Animal (or choosing Percussion or Wind for your Versatile Performance), then purchasing two or three medium-sized, combat-trained dogs and taking rage powers that add attacks (the beast totem might be optimum for 20 levels of play, in that the fighter and magus will love pounce.but fiend or spirit would also be viable and quite flavorful). With the dex bonus, I'd seriously consider a build that resembles the Reach Cleric: cast with the standard action, move with the move action, do damage with AOOs. I havent played a Skald nor have I put much research into them. The spell Greater Path of Glory would be amazing with this build, as you will be healing 14 per round depending on where you are standing. Pick up a Courageous Amulet of Mighty Fists, and you will be raging at +9 Str/Con as well as 9 fast heal. Rage song is already the best buff in the game (IMO), and adding more effects to it is just ridiculous.Īs far as feats go, take Amplified Rage if you can convince one of your melee to do the same. ![]() You will lose your Spell Kenning and Uncanny Dodge, but Song of the Beast is more than worth it IMO. There are other animal focuses to choose from though. This will give everyone in the party evasion when rage song is going, and mid campaign it will give us Improved Evasion. He went the Totemic Skald archtype and chose mouse as his animal focus. I am playing a Warpriest in a campaign right now, and we have a Ghoran Skald (Awful race for Skald as they don't benefit from Morale bonuses, but we just noticed this last week). ![]() It also helps with healing up the people who will probably be in the frontlines(including yourself). Lesser celestial totem + path of glory is amazing for healing up damage after fights. The boost in saves would likely be welcomed aswell. Skald doesn't have alignment restrictions, multiclassing paladin 2-4 would be a viable option later on which'll put your charisma to use for more then just supportive spellcasting. You could go with flagbearer, banner of the ancient kings and a longspear/lance with combat reflexes/combat patrol as an alternate route which would put your dex bonus to use with regards to race.It will fall off the further you get in the game however but you could retrain then if so desired. Power attack/curnogon smash/hurtful would mitigate the fact your playing a 3/4th bab class slightly as you'll still have that additional attack a lot of the time that you'd otherwise be missing.Discordant voice at 11 is almost a must and greater skalds vigor is worth it to invest in at 10+ for more support oriented versions. Skald's Vigor is solid, it'll help substain early level damage.Multiclassing 1 level in oracle of lore with sidestep revelation would give you a proper dump stat. You could drop int but it'd mean a lot of your class skills suddenly become less valuable, dumping wisdom is also an option but i would recommend picking up iron will in that case. Your playing a mad class, you don't -really- have a proper dump stat./r/3d6 - For character creation, advice and sharing (system agnostic)./r/Battlemaps - For your VTT battlemap requirements./r/Tabletop - For your general tabletop gaming shenanigans./r/lfg - Looking For Group, find other players, etc./r/RPG - For general, non-Pathfinder related RPG discussion./r/Starfinder_rpg - For dedicated discussion of Paizo's Science Fantasy system and setting./r/Pathfinder_Kingmaker - To discuss the Owlcat-made computer RPGs./r/Pathfinder2e - For dedicated Second Edition discussion./r/Pathfinder - For Pathfinder Society Organization/Discussion.Other subreddits you might be interested in: Fillable character sheets and intelligent character builders. Some of these tools and resources include the following: We have a Wiki page that includes links for various useful tools and resources, most of which have been provided by the members of this community.
